제목 Accident vs. Incident 등록일 2016-09-26
내용 Hi, Beth.

Thank you as always. I got to know that I said "incident" instead of accident in today's session.

I am sometimes confused by them.
However, I can distinguish them clearly as follows:

1. Accident
Yesterday, many people were killed in the car accident.

2. Incident
A terrible incident happend at a bus station a few days ago. So the police are investigating the incident thoroughly right now.

These sentences look great. You used both words correctly. Personally, I don't use the word incident very often. I would use it in my professional life but not a lot in my personal life. For example, I would use the word incident to explain what happened if a student was hurt or crying. However, in my personal life, I don't have a lot of moments when I need to use this word. I do use the word accident a lot in my personal life because I will often discuss car accidents or other things in the news.
